About Us

AMEN is a group of Seventh-day Adventist health professionals whose mission is to motivate, train, and equip Seventh-day Adventist physicians, dentists, and other healthcare professionals to team with pastors and members, uniting the church to restore Christ’s ministry of healing to the world, hastening His return.

One of the ways healthcare professionals can participate in medical evangelism is through short-term mission trips both in the United States and around the world. 

AMEN wants to make this easier both for health professionals searching for a mission trip to go on and for ministries or churches looking for health professionals to join their team.

History

Since the inception of AMEN approximately 17 years ago, overseas mission has been one of our passions.  We have been privileged to be involved with various ministries in overseas projects and provide disaster relief assistance.

One of the things we’ve noticed is that many healthcare professionals want to go on mission trips and use their professional skills but don’t know where to start looking for opportunities.  Therefore, AMEN began plans to develop a mission database, a ‘clearinghouse’ if you will, for all Seventh-day Adventist mission trips that are looking for health professionals to join their team. 

This website serves a central location where healthcare professionals can search all the mission opportunities that are happening to find the one that best fits their availability and goals.   Once you find a trip that you are interested in participating with, you will be directed to the hosting organization’s website for more information and to sign up.

To provide one central location for Seventh-day Adventist health professionals looking to participate in short-term mission trips to search for opportunities that meet their professional skills, time availability, etc.
